Poems by Manojit Kumar Das

Kusum You Don’t Mind
Kusum you don’t mind
You are the one made of marble
Anindyasundari tanvi tanulata,
How many people are upset to see you
You know what!
Kusum you don’t mind
At the sight of your wide eyes
How many jasmine blossoms in the depths of the mind
You know what!
Kusum you don’t mind
In your white clothes
With a smile on your pink lips
How many people’s minds are upset
You know what!
Kusum you don’t mind
Love
The water of the Dead Ganges
Afternoon squid
Love
The first step of the rainy day
Morning bud flowers;
That is love.
Take Care
Get rid of indigestion
Take care of the moon,
Nocturnal birds are flying —
The sun has set long ago
The darkness of pollution has disappeared
In the moonlit Bhubanmohani light.
Get rid of indigestion
Take care of the moon.
